Cardenas Markets has concluded its Loteria Scratcher Sweepstakes with Hayward, California, resident Maria Antonia G. as the grand prize winner of $50,000.
Employees from the company along with mariachis joined Adam Salgado, Cardenas Markets CMO, in presenting Maria Antonia with her check. The presentation took place on Aug. 3 in the parking lot of the company’s store located at 187 Harder Road in Hayward, California.
During the ceremony, Antonia stated that she planned to share her winnings with her family members, who were also in attendance.
On July 28, Communications Director Marisa Kutansky – along with local store employees – presented Perris, California, resident Veronica O. with “Free Groceries for a Year” in the form of $5,200 in Cardenas Markets gift cards.
“The company is honored and pleased to present Maria Antonia G. and Veronica O. with their sweepstakes winnings,” Salgado said. “Our customers are at the center of everything we do, and in addition to providing the freshest and most authentic offerings we are also dedicated to providing them with fun, engaging and authentic opportunities.”
The sweepstakes program took place from April 20-June 14 in all 59 Cardenas Markets locations.
Cardenas Markets operates 51 stores under the company’s banner, seven under the Los Altos Ranch Markets banner, six under the Rio Ranch Markets banner and one under Cardenas Ranch Markets banner. Cardenas Markets is one of the largest ethnic grocery chains with stores in California, Nevada and Arizona.
