The N. Broad St. location will employ approximately 150 full-time and part-time positions.
Customers will find a variety of products and options at the new store within Giant’s departments, like farm fresh garden produce, bakery, meat and seafood. Other convenient offerings include Starbucks, sushi made in store, a hot foods section with smoked meats and Beer & Wine Eatery with slushie beverage options. Customers will also be able to utilize an underground parking garage with shopping at the store.
The North Broad store will also offer Giant Direct. Designed to serve customers when and how they want to shop, Giant Direct gives busy families the opportunity to order their groceries online for pick-up or delivery online.
The store celebrated its opening by making donations to Engine 13, Independence Library, Library of Accessible Media for Pennsylvanians, Parkway Central Library, Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission and Philadelphia Police 9th District.
The Richboro Giant location will open July 1 at 1025 Second St. Pike.
“As a company, we are committed to helping connect families over a meal by offering convenient, time-saving and fresh meal solutions, whether in-store or online,” said Manuel Haro, divisional VP of greater Philadelphia for The Giant Co.
“Our new North Broad and Richboro stores reinforce that commitment to our customers while also continuing our growth strategy within the city of Philadelphia and the surrounding communities.”
