Williamsville, New York-based Tops Friendly Markets, a full-service grocery retailer, has promoted Ken Grimes to store manager at its location in Canton, Pennsylvania.
Grimes was formerly the assistant store manager of the Tops in Big Flats, New York. He started his career in the grocery business in 1990 and has held several positions over the years, including operations manager. Grimes and his family live in Elmira, New York.
Tops Markets operates 150 grocery stores in New York, Pennsylvania and Vermont, including five that are run by franchisees. As the largest private, for-profit employer in western New York, with more than 14,000 employees, the company said it is dedicated to providing sustainably sourced, high-quality products while helping its communities flourish via support for programs that eradicate hunger and disease, educate youth and reduce environmental waste and energy consumption.
