Glenview, Illinois-based IBEX has tapped Charlie Pantelakos as its business unit manager.
Pantelakos, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, will oversee sales education training and focus on targeted sales growth for the brand. His additional responsibilities will include leading marketing efforts, ongoing research and development, logistics, manufacturing and culinary support for IBEX rapid-cook ovens.
Markus Glueck, ITW Food Equipment Group president of cooking, said Pantelakos will help the IBEX business.
“His extensive experience in the foodservice industry sets an excellent foundation for him to lead the way to introduce and sell IBEX rapid-cook ovens,” Glueck said.
According to the company, Pantelakos’ background will set IBEX up well for successful market penetration. From developing products from concept to launch at companies such as Rational USA to overseeing his family’s food distribution business, Pantelakos has worked with dealers, consultants and end customers across multiple market segments.
“Charlie has managed all aspects of procurement, warehousing, processing, distribution and customer experience,” Glueck said. “His leadership is exactly what we’re looking for at IBEX. We’re happy to have him on board.”
The IBEX rapid-cook oven was the winner of the 2022 National Restaurant Association Kitchen Innovation award. It offers equipment that delivers combi-oven quality quickly. Using solid-state radio frequency technology in combination with convection heating, IBEX can analyze and adjust based on feedback for that exact moment in time, delivering uniform results.
