Williamsville, New York-based Tops Friendly Markets has promoted two individuals to VP positions: Mike Nugent and Darren Robbins.
Nugent has been promoted to VP of merchandising for Tops. During his 29 years with Tops, Nugent has held other key positions within the organization including director of asset protection and district manager. Most recently, he held the title of director of edible grocery.
As VP of merchandising, he will direct the merchandising function and oversee all merchandising programs to meet budgeted objectives of inventory and service levels, pricing policies, and sales and profit goals. Nugent is a resident of Lancaster, New York.
Robbins has been named as the VP of finance for Tops. He has served as director of strategy and analytics since 2018 and will transition to his new role where Robbins will be responsible for Tops specific financial budgeting, capital expenditure planning and analysis, financial reporting, performance analysis and Tops Fuel Operations. Darren and his family are residents of Niagara Falls, New York.
