Tops held a grand reopening celebration March 29 for its store at 11200 Maple Ridge Road in Medina, New York.
To celebrate, the store will be making $500 donations to each of the following local groups as a thank you for their support of the community:
- American Legion (Butts-Clark Post No. 204) – This veterans’ organization serves the community by providing social and recreational activities for members and their families. It also provides donations to the community and children’s organizations.
- Calvary Cupboard Food Pantry – It is a food distribution organization in Orleans County, distributing a variety of foods to upwards of 200 families. In 2019 alone, the food pantry served 1,488 families for a total of 3,536 adults, seniors and children.
- Community Action of Orleans and Genesee – The mission statement of the CAO is to provide services with dignity and respect that help people become self-sufficient. This organization has served low-income and disadvantage families for over 40 years.
- Hartland Volunteer Fire Company – It has provided fire protection and emergency services since 1970. In addition to responding to fires, the Hartland Volunteer Fire Company also responds to medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, rescue calls and incidents involving hazardous materials.
- Medina Firefighters Benevolent Association – The association provides services dedicated to taking care of its members of the Medina Fire Department. The Medina Fire Department is a combination career and volunteer fire department, with a career staff of 13 and a “callman” staff of 20 volunteers.
- Orleans County YMCA – As a branch of the GLOW YMCA, the Orleans County YMCA serves youth, families, adults and seniors in Orleans County. The YMCA welcomes and supports children and families and helps build the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
- Village of Medina Police Union – It provides support to the members of the Village of Medina Police Department. Incorporated in 1832, The Village of Medina is currently served and protected by The Village of Medina Police Department.
