Kansas City, Kansas-based Balls Food Stores and David Ball, its chairman, CEO and president, have announced five senior management changes that they say reflect the company’s commitment to employees, customers and communities.
Scott Bayne has been promoted to chief operating officer. Bayne, who has more than 44 years of food industry experience, has been with Balls for eight years, most recently as VP of sales and marketing.
Gregg Frost has been named as chief teammate officer. Frost has been with Balls for more than 45 years in various roles, including VP of human resources and VP of Hen House Markets.
Mike Sullivan was promoted to VP of Price Chopper operations. A 31-year Balls’ employee, Sullivan has managed multiple stores within the company.
Bob Pearson was named as VP of Hen House/Sunfresh/Payless operations. Pearson has managed several stores during his more than 29 years with the company.
In addition, Pat Rogers has been promoted as its delicatessen director. Previously the Hen House Markets’ delicatessen specialist, Rogers has some 18 years of service with Balls.
Balls Food Stores has served Kansas City and surrounding areas for nearly a century. Celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2023, the company says it has succeeded by continuously innovating to adapt its stores.
It operates 26 supermarkets under the Hen House Market, Price Chopper, Sun Fresh and Payless Discount Foods banners.
