As it prepares to officially celebrate 90 years of serving Arizona later this year, Bashas’ is inviting residents to look back and share the sights, sounds, tastes and experiences that they have had within its stores.
Until April 30, Arizonans can share their memories by visiting bashas.com or through scanning a special QR code and sharing their stories, photos and videos depicting how Bashas’ has played an important role in their lives.
“From a small market in Chandler, to now more than 50 supermarkets across the state, Bashas’ has created a living legacy around family dinner tables and in communities across nearly 114,000 square miles of Arizona,” said Ashley Shick, Bashas’ director of communications and public affairs. “Through the sharing of stories and experiences, we hope to pay tribute to Bashas’ incredible history and celebrate its impact for generations to come.”
The company will share the heartfelt stories and memories that it collects during the third quarter of this year, when its anniversary festivities kick into full swing. It plans to feature the stories on its website, social media platforms and weekly ad from July through September.
During this same time, the grocer will serve up special promotions at every one of its stores. Customers can expect to see special price promotions and offers, enhanced community support efforts and extra surprises throughout the summer.
Bashas’ 90th anniversary is a chance to remember, reflect and celebrate the positive impact that Arizona-based grocer has had on the state during the past nine decades.
The company is a family-owned grocer that operates Food City, AJ’s Fine Foods, Eddie’s Country Store, and both Bashas’ and Bashas’ Diné supermarkets. It is one of the largest employers in the state and one of the Best Places to Work in Arizona. Since the company’s inception in 1932, the company has given back more than $100 million to the communities it serves.
