Boone, Iowa-based Fareway has recently announced the corporate promotion of Jeffrey “Jeff” L. Stearns to the position of SVP of marketing and advertising.
“Jeff Stearns is a tenured member of our team, and he has been integral in supporting and executing Fareway’s marketing and advertising strategy,” said Reynolds W. Cramer, Fareway CEO. “We are excited to continue to foster, develop and grow talent at Fareway, and I’m grateful to have Jeff Stearns on this team, helping lead Fareway into the future.”
Stearns will assume his new title immediately.
Stearns is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa class of 1990 and holds a degree in marketing. While he worked for Fareway prior to college, upon graduation, he started at the Spirit Lake store and moved to a couple different locations before managing the Centerville store.
In 2000, he became a district supervisor and moved to the role of regional VP a few years later. Stearns was named VP of marketing and advertising in 2010, before being named to his current role. He has served on the Iowa Grocery Industry Association Board of Directors, its executive committee and as a past chairman of the board.
Stearns and his wife Connie have three daughters: Gabrielle, Katelyn “Matt Funke” and Olivia. He recently became a first-time grandparent to grandson, Easton Jeffrey.
