Lakeland, Florida-based Publix has been named to Forbes’ America’s Best Large Employers list, ranking No. 168 of 500 total companies and was seventh of 30 in the retail and wholesale industry.

America’s best large employers were selected based on an independent survey of 60,000 employees who were asked open-ended questions regarding their employer. These employees were in 25 different industries working for companies with at least 1,000 people employed in their U.S. locations. The evaluation was based on both direct and indirect recommendations.
