Florida-based Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits has appointed Casey McQuaid to the role of VP and general manager of Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits of Oregon, effective Feb. 1, 2022.
McQuaid will be responsible for leading and executing strategic business initiatives in the state to drive growth for the supplier brands Southern Glazer’s represents.
In addition, he will oversee retail chain and broad market sales and distribution activities for Oregon, including formulating overall strategy, managing and developing people, and establishing policies for the market.
McQuaid will report to John Klein, EVP and general manager – Pacific Northwest.
“Casey brings strategic leadership, change management skills, and strong communication and team building to Oregon,” said John Klein.
“His wealth of industry knowledge, combined with his relationships and business acumen, make him an ideal selection for this role,” he said.
McQuaid will be succeeding Michael Jeffrey, who was appointed to the role of EVP and general manager of Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits of Colorado in November 2021.
With 23 years of experience in the wine and spirits industry, McQuaid’s most recent role was as managing director of customer development in the Western U.S. for E&J Gallo Winery.
McQuaid currently resides in Lake Oswego, Oregon, with his wife, two daughters, two dogs, and two horses. He holds an MBA from Willamette University and a bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University.
