United Natural Foods Inc. has promoted Bob Garibaldi as the new president of its Pacific Region, effective immediately. In this role, Garibaldi will lead UNFI’s Pacific Region sales team with full accountability to support customers in the region with UNFI’s full portfolio of comprehensive products and services.
Prior to this promotion, Garibaldi served as UNFI’s SVP of sales in the Pacific Region, a position he held since 2018. He began his career with UNFI’s Pacific Region following the acquisition of Supervalu and before that spent 22 years in various leadership roles overseeing sales and customer service on the West Coast for both Supervalu and Unified Grocers.
During his time with UNFI, Garibaldi has successfully led the Pacific Region through several complex sales reorganizations and system integrations.

In addition to his work at UNFI, Garibaldi has previously served as a member of the City of Hope Northern California Food Industries Circle and is currently active in California Grocers Association and Northwest Grocery Association.
Garibaldi holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
