Silver Eagle Beverages Awards Scholarships To 31 College Students

Thirty-one college students have been awarded educational scholarships for the 2021-22 academic year from the Silver Eagle Beverages Scholarship Program, which awards up to a total of $5,000 per academic year to the dependent children of its employees.

The scholarship program was started by the company more than 20 years ago and has awarded more than $2.2 million in scholarships. The recipients were recently recognized by John L. Nau III, chairman and CEO of Silver Eagle Beverages, and Bob Boblitt, president of Silver Eagle Beverages, at an award ceremony at their San Antonio office.

“Silver Eagle Beverages is proud to provide the children of our employees with this scholarship opportunity,” said Nau. “We congratulate these students for their hard work and perseverance and wish them well as they start the school year during this unique and challenging time.” 

Listed below are the scholarship recipients grouped by their hometown:

Carrizo Springs: Benito Gonzalez III;

Cibolo: Daemon Rodriguez;

Del Rio: Karina Galindo and Clarissa Meza;

Eagle Pass: Ricardo Luna Rodriguez;

Elmendorf: Erica Meza;

Live Oak: Anthony Jaimes and Ashley Jaimes;

New Braunfels: Alexia Saenz; and

San Antonio: Edward Cantu, Heaven Cedillo, Henry De Hoyos, Jaren Gamez, Christian Garza-Ortiz, Keziah Gomez, Meadow Gonzales, Marco Hurtado, Desiree Lama, Chloe Lopez, Erika Mata, Anthony Naranjo, Brian Naranjo, Cristina Naranjo, Mark Navarro, Samantha Rios, Alexandria Rodriguez, Justice Ruiz, Madison Steger, Kevin Velasquez, Nathaniel Villanueva and Cheyanne Zavala.                                              

The Silver Eagle Beverages Scholarship award program provides up to five years of funding for an undergraduate degree and up to two years of funding for a graduate degree, two-year degree or technical school. The Greater Houston Community Foundation administers the Silver Eagle Beverages Scholarship awards program.
