John Hughes has joined Applied Data Corporation, a global provider of store operations platforms built for grocery and convenience retailers, as its first chief growth officer. He will lead ADC’s sales, customer success, partner, marketing and HR teams to align and drive the company’s go-to-market strategy.
He will join ADC’s executive leadership team led by CEO Shamus Hines.
Hughes brings with him a 25-plus year history of scaling enterprise tech companies that deliver outstanding customer value while driving profitability and growth. Prior to ADC, Hughes founded ManageForce, a market-leading application management and cloud service provider that was acquired by Centrilogic. Prior to founding his own company, Hughes built his career in the competitive enterprise software sales world with hyper-growth enterprise companies like Oracle, Ariba (now SAP) and managed services provider, Data Intensity.
At ADC, Hughes will play a critical role in managing revenue growth, business development and customer success as the company continues to focus on providing innovation for total store operations in the food technology market, while also growing market share in both the grocery and convenience retail space.
“John has an incredible record of leading high-growth companies to great success. I know he will be an excellent addition and provide an invaluable skillset to the ADC team as we continue to grow and elevate our customer experience,” said Hines. “I am confident that John’s leadership will continue to build on the great foundation we have developed with our grocery and convenience retail customers.”
Hughes said, “I am thrilled to join the talented team at ADC. Together, we will continue to offer our retail customers solutions that drive store ops excellence from fresh item management to e-commerce fulfillment and everything in between. “
For more than 30 years, Tampa, Florida-based ADC has been a food technology innovator. Its platforms, FreshIQ and ShopperKit, offer retailers an omnichannel approach to total store operations.
