Graeter’s Ice Cream, a family-owned craft ice cream maker based in Cincinnati, Ohio, is celebrating National Ice Cream Month with a calendar of events, including a special deal on ice cream, new summer bonus flavors and other special offers/festivities.

The company will kick off National Ice Cream Month by hosting its annual coloring contest. Entries can be found online at Graeters.com/coloring-contest, printed out at home and returned to any scoop shop before July 31. Prizes will be awarded in multiple age groups. The brand will also once again offer special promotions for members of its Sweet Rewards Loyalty program throughout the month including a special offer for a $1.51 ice cream cone which honors the brand’s 151st year of making indulgent, handcrafted ice cream using Graeter’s French Pot method.

Graeter’s plans to further celebrate National Ice Cream Month with its continued unveiling of Summer Bonus Flavors in scoop shops and online for a limited time. Each flavor, revealed every two or three weeks throughout the summer, offers ice cream fans the allure of an innovative flavor made with the Graeter’s quality they expect. New Bonus Flavors will be announced on July 5, July 25 and August 9. Graeter’s will continue offering summer seasonal flavors including Strawberry Sorbet (July) and Key Lime Pie (August).

“We’re grateful for another year of celebrating our 151st birthday during National Ice Cream Month,” said Chip Graeter, 4th generation family member and chief of retail operations of Graeter’s Ice Cream. “We’re looking forward to a more relaxed summer — filled with friends and family, memory-making and to see familiar faces in our scoop shops all summer long.”

Graeter’s Ice Cream produces craft ice cream using French Pots, a small batch, artisanal method of production dating back over a century.

Tasted among 13 national brands, Graeter’s was voted the No. 1 Vanilla Ice Cream by MyRecipes.com in 2019. Famous for their signature chocolate chips, the Cincinnati-based company remains family owned and operated and continues to handcraft ice cream 2½ gallons at a time. Today, Graeter’s currently has 56 retail stores and ships over 600,000 pints annually for online mail order sales. Graeter’s can also be found in more than 4,000 grocery stores in 46 states.
