Chicago-based Garrett Popcorn Shops now offers four recipes, perfect for summer picnics, that are inspired by their world-renowned CaramelCrisp, which Garrett has perfected for over 70 years in Chicago:
- S’mores (6-oz. bag) – With real graham crackers and a chocolatey coating;
- Simply Strawberry (5.5-oz. bag) – With real strawberries and white CaramelCrisp;
- Simply Cocoa (5.5-oz. bag) – With real cocoa powder and world-famous CaramelCrisp; and
- Simply Matcha (6-oz. bag) – With real green tea powder from Japan and CaramelCrisp.
Each bag is individually sealed – and resealable – to keep kernels fresher. Chicagoland stores offering these recipes include Binny’s Beverage Depot, Big Apple Finer Foods, Potash Market, Sunset Foods, and Pete’s Fresh Market. Prices vary by retailer, around $6.49 per bag.
Batch to batch, made from scratch, Garrett Popcorn is still never mass produced in factories and always cooked in its kitchens. The kernels are always hot-air popped and are still handcrafted in copper kettles as the company has been doing since 1949.
“Shoppers are looking to refresh their snack options in the kitchen cupboard,” said Adrienne Kardosh, SVP of marketing. “Fans have been asking Garrett to make an item for grocery stores, and now, more people have more opportunities to enjoy Garrett Popcorn when the cravings strike.”
