Myracle Kitchen Partners With Hoffmann In Creating ‘Barista Mylk’

Myracle Kitchen has created plant-based Barista Mylk specifically for use in coffee, launching into the U.S. and Canada this month. Its unique blend of organic ingredients was developed with the help of global coffee guru James Hoffmann to make it taste and work just like dairy milk in coffee, unlike other alternatives.

The project was driven by the insight that, although one in two coffees on-the-go are now made with a milk alternative, 43 percent of coffee lovers who haven’t tried a milk alternative in coffee won’t consider the more sustainable option, unless it tastes of dairy milk.

The recipe took 146 iterations and hours of testing with Hoffmann to achieve the balance of ingredients to ensure it both tasted like dairy in all types of coffee and performed as well as cows’ milk when foamed and poured. The final recipe contains organic ingredients, which have been minimally processed, such as oat for smoothness, coconut cream for creaminess and faba bean for savoriness, and is free from cane sugar, soy, gums, carrageenan, stabilizers and thickeners. Myracle Kitchen Mylk is certified USA Organic, non-GMO and glyphosate free.

“Milk alternatives used to mean compromise, be it in taste or experience, or, for the barista, in the texture of the drink or the latte art they pour. Working with Myracle Kitchen we’ve created a sustainable alternative that isn’t a compromise, which creates perfectly lasting latte art – it really is a miracle,” said Hoffmann, barista champion and author of “The World Atlas of Coffee.” “I’m excited to get Myracle Mylk into the hands of baristas and into the cups of coffee drinkers all over North America.”

Myracle Kitchen, sister brand of the UK’s Rebel Kitchen, is making its entrance into the U.S. market with this launch, and applies its uncompromising attitude to ethics, as well as its Mylk. The brand is certified vegan and organic, is 100 percent carbon neutral, donates 1 percent of its revenue to projects that support regenerative organic agriculture and is a certified B Corporation.

“At Myracle Kitchen we had the big dream of a genuinely better alternative for baristas and coffee drinkers looking for a more ethical brand,” said Ben Arbib, founder and owner of Myracle Kitchen. “Our B Corporation status proves that we will always believe in and strive for the highest standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency.”

Myracle Kitchen Barista Mylk is now available at myracle-kitchen.com and will be launching on Amazon and nationwide in Joe & the Juice throughout June. The Myracle Kitchen team will be showcasing Barista Mylk at Coffee Fest Atlanta 2021 on June 15 and 16, booth 717.
