Rich Bidinger has been promoted to VP of construction, real estate and store operations support for Wooster, Ohio-based Buehler’s Fresh Foods. In this expanded role, he will oversee those areas as well as store repair and maintenance, acquisition candidates and be responsible for all in-store leasing.
Bidinger was originally hired in 1976 as a grocery clerk at the Wadsworth location. Over the past 45 years, he has worked at several locations in many different roles. In 2006, he became director of operations.
Most recently, Bidinger was integral in providing support to the service and facilities managers at each location in their area of responsibilities: point of sale, customer service centers, scan coordinators, sub leases and maintenance. He also plays a leadership role in developing processes, initiatives, equipment, design, management, shrink reduction, labor management and budgeting.
Bidinger has provided Buehler’s with guidance and direction and helped to successfully navigate the company’s transition into an employee-owned ESOP company. His extensive retail knowledge and invaluable grocer experience has prepared him for his next leadership role at Buehler’s Fresh Foods.

Bidinger and his wife, Jane, reside in Medina.
Buehler’s Fresh Foods operates 13 supermarkets located in Wooster (2), Orrville, Wadsworth, Medina (2), Ashland, New Philadelphia, Dover, Jackson Township (Canton), Coshocton, Portage Lakes (Green) and Massillon, Ohio.
