Big Y Makes Several New Appointments At Multiple Stores

The management of Big Y Foods has made several new appointments across multiple store locations. 

At Big Y, we are committed to providing the tools and training necessary to support our employees in their development,” said Michael J. Galat, VP of employee services. “We look forward to their growth in the pursuit of excellence as they personally develop their own skills in order to take on these new levels of responsibility.” 

The appointments include:

Massachusetts hometown 

Greenfield – Alyssa C. Bohn, store director, Amherst, Big Y World Class Market 

Hampden – Jason C. Gouin, database marketing project analyst, Springfield, Big Y Store Support Center 

Monson – Trevor J. Hamilton, frozen food and dairy sales manager, Stafford Springs, Connecticut, Big Y World Class Market 

Quincy – Stephen Gorman, store director in training, Big Y World Class Market 

South Hadley – Allyson J. Mackay, customer service manager, Springfield, Big Y World Class Market 

Springfield – Jeffrey R. Quesnel, deli sales manager, East Longmeadow, Big Y World Class Market 

Turner Falls – William T. Cook, produce and floral sales manager, South Hadley, Big Y World Class Market

Founded in 1936 by brothers Paul and Gerald D’Amour, the store was named after an intersection in Chicopee, Massachusetts, where two roads converge to form a “Y.”
