Just Like Home Kitchen Recipes is a new collection of home-crafted pasta sauces inspired by the best recipes from kitchens across America, with $0.25 from every jar sold being donated to homeless shelters across the U.S.

The six sauces were the winning recipes selected from a nationwide recipe contest held in late 2019.

JLH offers a depth of flavor without having to make it from scratch – saving time and, equally as important, it also helps people in need. Based in McKinney, Texas, the company launched in November 2020 and has raised more than $5,000 in donations to date. sauces

The retail price is $7.99 and the six sauces are available at every Market Street location, as well as select United Supermarkets and Albertsons locations.

The options are:

  • Caitlyn & Laurinda’s Buttery Marinara: The mother-daughter duo of Laurinda and Caitlyn created this gluten-free recipe at home in Arizona to meet Caitlyn’s dietary needs. The buttery flavor is complemented with subtle spices;
  • Cyndy’s Zesty Tomato Basil & Cheese: While Cyndy’s recipe was created with two different versions, this one is for those who want a pasta sauce with just a little zing to it;
  • Dave’s Chicago-Style Bolognese: Dave grew up in the Chicago area and often hung around the kitchen while his mom cooked. His love for food led him to experiment and create lots of recipes. He shared this meaty one and added a kick of green bell pepper;
  • Mary’s Sweet Potato Pomodoro: Mary created the original recipe for this unique pasta sauce in her kitchen in Oklahoma. The combination of sweet potatoes and a blend of spices delivers a one-of-a-kind flavor that’s perfect with pasta as well as your favorite meats;
  • Christina’s N.Y. Lip-Smackin’ Garlic: Christina, from the heart of New York, wanted to create a pasta sauce that had a depth of flavor and an extra kick, garlic; and
  • Incognito’s Mushroom Cabernet: The inspiration for this sauce came from a recipe submitted by someone who preferred to remain incognito. We’re happy to be able to share this blend of California Cabernet, mushrooms and real butter.

JHL was founded by Wayne Luciano and Nathan Sheets (founder of Nature Nate’s Honey Co.) with a mission to deliver authentic, homecrafted pasta sauces that help customers give back to their community with every purchase.

Luciano, a passionate foodie who grew up in Boston in an Italian-American family, has more than two decades of progressive consumer marketing and brand management experience in the CPG/retail space, including 12 years with The Coca-Cola Co.
