Amazon Fresh has opened its new store in Long Beach, California, making it the eighth location in Southern California and the 12th in the nation. The approximately 40,000-square-foot store is located at 6235 E. Spring St.
“I’m pleased to welcome another grocery store to Long Beach,” said City Councilwoman Stacy Mungo Flanigan. “Amazon Fresh has hired hundreds of our neighbors, and I’m also excited to try their innovative grocery shopping experiences that include Alexa and the Dash Cart.”
Amazon Fresh offers a seamless grocery shopping experience, whether customers are shopping in-store or online. The store offers consistently low prices for all, and free, same-day delivery and pick-up for Prime members. It also has introduced new ways to make grocery shopping more convenient, including the Amazon Dash Cart, which enables customers to skip the checkout line, and new Alexa features to help customers manage their shopping lists and better navigate store aisles.
The store will donate surplus food to local food banks.
Store hours are 7 a.m.-10 p.m. daily, with the hour of 7-8 a.m. designated for customers who are 60 years and older, those with disabilities and those whom the CDC defines as high risk.
