ECRS is honoring the essential retailers who made sacrifices this year and who continue to serve their communities through the pandemic. Because of these brave men and women, local grocery stores, pharmacies, convenience stores and many other establishments keep their doors open and support their customers.

On behalf of their bravery and humility, ECRS has pledged to donate 138,984 meals to those served out of the Hospitality House Community Kitchen. This donation will supply three meals a day, seven days a week to those in need for all of 2021.

Since its founding over 30 years ago, ECRS has endeavored to harness the power of free enterprise to positively impact lives both locally and globally, as is reflected in its charitable mission statement: To make the world a better place to live by leaving our families, communities, country and world better than we found them.

The Hospitality House of Northwest North Carolina serves as the only 24-hour homeless shelter for seven counties in the North Carolina mountains. Its mission is “to rebuild lives and strengthen community by providing a safe, nurturing, healthy environment in which individuals and families experiencing homelessness and poverty-related crises are equipped to become self-sufficient and productive.” This means that the Hospitality House not only provides meals and shelter to individuals in need but is also “a place where self-worth is reclaimed, passion is rediscovered and souls are redeemed.”

ECRS is a U.S.-based, Certified Evergreen transaction and retail solutions provider. ECRS future-proofs local and regional retailers to win in today’s market, while preparing them for tomorrow’s opportunities. ECRS’ Catapult POS system is the market’s only truly unified transaction platform, running in thousands of locations across North America. With Catapult, the point of sale, self-checkout, deli scales, fuel pump, pharmacy, webstore, inventory, customer loyalty, back office, e-commerce and enterprise management all share one single transactional logic.
