Southeastern Grocers, parent company and home of BI-LO, Fresco y Más, Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie grocery stores, unveiled the successful completion of the grocer’s first Southwest Florida Fresco y Más store, located at 1145 Homestead Road North, and introduced a refreshed Winn-Dixie store, located at 61 Bell Boulevard North, during a dual ribbon cutting ceremony in Lehigh Acres on Oct. 21 at 8 a.m.
The new Lehigh Acres Fresco y Más hosted a grand opening ceremony at 7:40 a.m., ahead of the ribbon cutting ceremony, to officially introduce the new store to the local community. The new Hispanic grocery store will provide the community with a specialized shopping experience that focuses on celebrating the Hispanic culture and unique flavors and offerings of the community. The refreshed Winn-Dixie will continue to provide the community with a full selection of national and award-winning private label products, along with an enhanced shopping experience.

Customers will immediately notice new enhancements and offerings throughout the Fresco y Más store, including:
- A new custom façade featuring a vibrant yellow color palate and bi-lingual signage throughout the store.
- Refreshed produce department featuring a farmer’s market setting with a wider selection of tropical fruits and vegetables.
- An all-new Wall of Value section featuring weekly specials on popular items customers purchase most.
- New Dollar Zone within the store, where customers can get hundreds of everyday essentials for $1, from grocery and cleaning to health and beauty.
- An all-new café with expanded seating area serving authentic Hispanic breakfast, pastries, drinks and hot and cold sandwiches.
- A new “Cocina” (kitchen) offering daily specials of freshly prepared family favorites made from scratch.
- An all-new, full-service Latin “Carnicería” (butcher shop) offering an expanded selection of fresh, custom cut meats to better serve our customers.
- Renovated “Panadería” (bakery) department offering an expanded selection of Hispanic pastries and local baked goods, including flan, croquette and custom tres leches cakes, made fresh daily, as well as a wider selection of local favorites.
- An in-store pharmacy with expert pharmacists available to answer any questions regarding health and prescriptions
The Lehigh Acres Fresco y Más also will host a small community celebration on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. As a continued COVID-19 safety precaution, customers are encouraged to maintain social distancing protocols during the events and while enjoying the new stores. Customers also can enjoy all the benefits of their new Fresco y Más and remodeled Winn-Dixie stores in the comfort of their home with the grocers’ delivery services through e-commerce partners.
As part of the grand opening celebrations, the new Lehigh Acres Fresco y Más will present a $1,000 donation to Lehigh Community Services to aid the nonprofit’s efforts to alleviate hunger and provide emergency services to the residents of Lehigh Acres. Winn-Dixie also will present a $1,000 donation to Donna J. Beasley Technical Academy to support the tuition-free public charter high school. The new Lehigh Acres Fresco y Más will be open from 7 a.m.-11 p.m., seven days a week. The Bell Boulevard Winn-Dixie is open daily from 7 a.m.-10 p.m.
