French food company Michel et Augustin is continuing to build strong cookie square distribution on the west coast with the recent addition of Raley’s to its retail portfolio. This comes on the heels of securing spots in other California cookie aisles, including Gelsons, Lassens and Bristol Farms.
“Raley’s is a great opportunity to share a taste of France with Californians,” said Evan Holod, CEO at Michel et Augustin. “Now they can have sun, sand, surf and cookies that taste like they come from a French patisserie without leaving home.”
Made with real butter, chocolate and flour, the French-inspired shortbread cookies contain no preservatives and no artificial sweeteners, flavors or dyes. Michel et Augustin is based in Brooklyn, New York, and currently has distribution around the country in Shop Rite, Central Market, Hannaford, NCG, as well as other retail and specialty retail locations.
Michel et Augustin recently announced it is delivering three varieties of its cookies to all Central Market locations in Texas. The bite-sized shortbread cookie squares will be available in: Dark Chocolate and a Pinch of Sea Salt; Milk Chocolate and Melty Caramel; and Chocolate and Toasted Hazelnuts.
“It’s an honor to join a top retailer in a great market,” Holod said. “And we’re looking forward to sharing our love of French pastry with the Central Market family.”
