Former Best Buy leader Jeffrey Schaubschlager has been tapped to head the lifecycle product management for Austin, Texas-based Revionics’ AI-based retail pricing software. With more than 20 years of experience consulting, leading and executing innovation and digital business strategy for companies including Best Buy and Target, Schaubschlager will play a key role in building the future of Revionics’ pricing platform.
In his new role, Schaubschlager will bring a unique understanding of retailer needs to all of Revionics’ pricing solutions. He will work in connection with engineering, data science, executive teams and Revionics’ customers to enhance and evolve the world’s leading pricing platform.
As Revionics continues to make pricing a competitive advantage for retailers through next-generation pricing solutions, Schaubschlager’s industry experience will help him expand the business case for existing solutions and define applications for the company’s science-based innovations. His leadership will help ensure that retailers continue to trust that Revionics brings the very best in AI and machine learning pricing technology to market.
“Revionics excites me because of the human-centered AI solutions the team has worked to implement and evolve over the course of nearly two decades,” said Schaubschlager. “I look forward to cultivating a deeper understanding of our existing and potential users in order to create a user experience that matches the best-in-class data science already included in these solutions. I am looking forward to bringing my experience in retail business strategy to Revionics and being a part of the impactful innovation for high-performing retail organizations already happening here.”
Mike Ryan, SVP of science & product at Revionics, said they searched for someone who “could navigate a high-innovation period within our industry, with a steady eye on our retailer customers’ underlying challenges. I know we’ve found that in Jeffrey. It is difficult to find experienced design thinkers with direct experience inside retail organizations. Jeffrey brings both in spades. With him leading product, I’m confident that our data science and engineering teams will deliver pricing innovations that give our leading retailers true competitive advantages that will be hard for others to keep up with.”
Schaubschlager’s career includes tenure as director of product for emerging platforms at Best Buy, where he led strategy, product management and engineering for next-generation ecommerce platforms. Later, as SVP of digital services at YA Engage, Schaubschlager led product management for promotion and customer engagement solutions that served more than 60 Fortune 500 retailers and brands, including Lowe’s, Office Depot, Advance Auto Parts and Pepsi. He also previously served as a senior program manager for Target, during which time he managed the build of the base initial internal SOA architecture for all store locations.
