Central Market To Host Food-Cations, Charc Week This Summer

Central Market is bringing favorite foods from summer travel destinations home to North Texas this year. Each week starting June 24, Central Market will feature special foods from different vacation locations starting with New York City, June 24-July 7; followed by France, July 8-14; then a Tropical Paradise, July 15-28. New York Food-cation will bring in old fashioned New York-style hot dogs, bagels and lox, authentic deli meats and more. Each store also is making plans for a Hamilton watch party menu. Check with local stores for details.

Tastes of France will feature French breads, baguettes, boules and pastries including eclairs, crème brulee and pots de crème as well as French cheeses and accompaniments. Tropics week will showcase seasonal tropical fruits in produce, Hawaiian seafood items, pineapple macadamia nut cookies, lime and coconut scones and cookies, piña colada cheesecake bars, coconut shrimp, tropical cole slaw, cold pressed juices, fish tacos and jerk-style rotisserie chicken.

In addition, Central Market’s Chef’s Case will include these new items throughout the summer: herb marinated grilled chicken, teriyaki marinated grilled chicken, shakshuka tilapia, Goan shrimp curry, ancient grain stuffed bell peppers, Goan chickpea spinach curry, cauliflower rice pilaf, Spanish cauliflower rice, ancient grain pilaf, Greek-style ancient grains, and more.
