Seattle, Washington-based Sparkling Ice, made by the Talking Rain Beverage Co., has created a new campaign to celebrate America’s unsung heroes, particularly those who work on the front lines to support local communities during the Covid-19 pandemic.
As part of the Cheers to Heroes initiative, people nationwide can nominate a friend, colleague, peer or neighbor who is considered an everyday hero for a chance to win $10,000.
Throughout the campaign, Sparkling Ice also has pledged to donate $400,000 to unsung heroes across the country to bring some joy to those who need it most.
The nomination deadline is June 14. Sparkling Ice will then select the top three submissions, who advance to voting throughout July on its website. The winner will be announced Aug. 7. The nominator of the winning hero will receive $500.
Cheers to Heroes nominations can be submitted at www.sparklingice.com/cheerstoheroes.
“Over the last few months, our entire country has come together to fight on the front lines and support one another as we face the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Chris Hall, CEO of Talking Rain. “As a company, it is our mission to support and give back to those who need it most, especially in these trying times.
“We want to honor the heroes who have had an immense impact on their local community, and we hope to bring a little bit of joy to these honorable people, who will forever have a lasting impact on their communities.”
The Cheers to Heroes initiative is an extension of the brand’s overall 2020 campaign, “Flavor for All,” which celebrates inclusion and togetherness across the country. It also comes on the heels of the company’s fifth annual partnership with the nonprofit Honor Flight Network.
That partnership has raised more than $352,000 to date through various programs and donations from vendors, partners and others. The funding has resulted in more than 350 trips to Washington, D.C., for military veterans.
Sparkling Ice also is releasing new limited-edition case wraps, available nationwide in stores, designed for the Cheers to Heroes contest and Honor Flight partnership. The patriotic-themed wraps will feature the Honor Flight Network logo and the Cheers to Heroes nomination guidelines.
In other company news, Talking Rain has introduced Talking Rain Elevate (TRE), a non-carbonated, multifunctional, hybrid performance water.
The company said TRE is made with all-natural flavors and caffeine to offer the boost needed to sustain momentum with hydration that comes from electrolytes. It contains no sugar and is made from naturally sourced colors.
TRE comes in three flavors—Mango Fusion, Mixed Berry and Power Punch—and is available in Seattle, Portland, Phoenix and Denver.
