Garner Foods, makers of Texas Pete and Green Mountain Gringo products, has named Katie Chaffin as its new director of marketing.
Chaffin has been a member of the Garner Foods team since 2010, when she joined the company as the marketing communications coordinator. Through the years, Chaffin has grown her role as a key member of the marketing team—taking on new responsibilities and developing her professional expertise in building a successful brand communications strategy that has helped Garner Foods continue to succeed.
“I’m excited about this new chapter in my career with Garner Foods,” said Chaffin. “This has been a fantastic team to work with, and I’ve enjoyed all the opportunities I’ve had to grow as a professional. I look forward to continuing to see our company advance and engage our loyal customers around the world.”
Chaffin graduated from Western Carolina University in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in communications and a minor in art. Her 10 years with the Garner Foods team have allowed her to play an integral role in the company’s growth.
“We’re very proud of the work Katie has done for Garner Foods,” said Glenn Garner, CMO for Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based Garner Foods. “She’s a tremendous asset to our company and a consummate professional in everything she does. I’m very grateful to have her on my team.”
Founded in 1929 as a maker of barbecue sauce, the company now sells a full line of hot sauces, wing sauces and seafood sauces under the Texas Pete brand, as well as salsa and tortilla strips under the Green Mountain Gringo brand. Garner Foods products are sold in supermarkets, military commissaries, convenience stores and restaurants throughout the U.S. Green Mountain Gringo Salsa was named America’s best-tasting salsa by Delish.com in 2018.
