Checkout 51 App Launches Cash Back On Gas In 42 States

Last updated on June 14th, 2024

Checkout 51, a cash back app offered by New York-based News America Marketing, will now offer cash back on gas across 42 states.

Checkout 51 is a free mobile app, available in both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, that enables consumers to save money on everyday shopping necessities, such as groceries – and now gas – by submitting photos of receipts post-purchase.

To take advantage of the new gas savings opportunities, users can choose from a series of available offers that are custom-generated based on location, similar to Checkout 51’s grocery offers. Once an offer is selected, users unlock limited-time access to cash-savings at a designated gas station, which can be redeemed in-app with a photo of the receipt once their car is fueled up and the transaction is complete.

“At Checkout 51, our goal is to help our members save money as seamlessly as possible on their weekly shopping trips — and these new gas offers are going to help them save more than ever. The ability to save on more than just groceries has been a consistent member request, and this is just the first big step towards expanding our universe of savings,” said Tim Ryan, Checkout 51 general manager.

Launched in 2012, Checkout 51 now has over 17 million members across both the U.S. and Canada.
