GetUpside has hired Franklyn Farace as VP of grocery to expand its technology platform to additional grocery stores nationwide. Farace is a senior sales and marketing executive with 30 years of experience in the retail and consumer package goods sectors. At GetUpside, he will lead the company’s efforts to help grocers leverage personalization to drive incremental profit.
“Franklyn is one of the sharpest minds in the consumer marketing space. His experience and insights are sure to drive success for GetUpside as we enter the grocery space to help grocers increase profits,” said GetUpside CRO Jen Millard.
The GetUpside platform uses machine-learning technology to personalize offers in real-time for new and existing customers. By encouraging consumers to shop in their communities, GetUpside helps them earn cash back on everyday expenses, while also enabling local merchants to increase profits. Farace joins GetUpside as the company continues its rapid national expansion to grocery stores, restaurants and gas stations.
Farace is an expert in digital, loyalty shopping, and behavior-based marketing, having held senior roles with a variety of recognized companies. As VP of retail solutions at Quotient Technology, he launched three digital platforms at 60,000 retail locations that helped transform how grocery, drug and large retailers reach and engage shoppers: Print-at-Home, Direct-to-Card (paperless) and Retailer iQ. At YouTech—previously owned by Kroger and acquired by Inmar—Farace was responsible for digital new business development and third party partnerships.
“GetUpside is a game-changing platform for merchants and shoppers alike. No other technology like it exists. I’m excited to be joining such a dynamic team to bring GetUpside to more grocery stores and consumers across the U.S.,” said Farace.
