The Food Emporium Reopens Store In Howard Beach, NY

Key Food Stores Co-Operative Inc., a chain of primarily independently owned and corporate grocery stores, held a grand reopening of The Food Emporium location at 83-25 153rd Avenue, Howard Beach, New York , on Oct. 11. Local officials and Key Food executives attended the event.

“Store owner Frankie Almonte has worked incredibly hard to create a grocery shopping destination with The Food Emporium,” says John Durante, VP of business development for Key Foods. “This store offers customers the best of the best and is sure to draw in shoppers not only from Howard Beach, but from the surrounding communities as well.”

Food Emporium Howard BeachAt 26,000 s.f., The Food Emporium is newly renovated and rebranded. It has a bakery with a variety of cakes and pastries, as well as fresh bread baked twice. The store also features an old-world butcher shop, and its seafood department is stocked with a variety of fresh seafood daily.

“We are so proud to introduce Howard Beach’s first gourmet supermarket,” says store owner Frankie Almonte. “We’ve worked really hard to create a personalized shopping experience that truly embraces the character of Howard Beach and its surrounding communities.”
