Yakima, Washington-based Opal Apples, the only naturally non-browning, non-GMO apples in the U.S., has signed on dietitian and New York Times best-selling author Cynthia Sass as brand ambassador. Sass will educate consumers on the health benefits of Opal apples through recipes, healthy eating tips, public appearances and social media.
Having advised Oscar, Grammy, and Emmy winners; CEOs; entrepreneurs; professional athletes; and health-focused clientele across the country, Sass brings vast experience to Opal. To illustrate the myriad ways to prepare Opal apples, the partnership will produce a visual co-branded e-cookbook with Sass-developed Opal Apples recipes, as well as videos of Sass preparing a handful of recipes at home, so fans can recreate the meals in their own homes. Healthy eating tips will be posted weekly to social media and an Instagram Live session is planned this fall.
“We are thrilled to welcome Cynthia to Opal,” says Chuck Zeutenhorst, GM of FirstFruits Marketing. “With her impressive client portfolio, bicoastal presence and digitally minded approach to nutrition, she is the perfect partner to introduce Opal to a new wave of consumers.”
“I am honored to partner with FirstFruits Marketing to represent Opal apples,” says Sass. “I look forward to sharing my health tips and recipes with new and existing Opal fans.”
