Pro-Dip Debuts Energy Supplement Pouches Targeted To C-Stores

Pro-Dip

Pro-Dip offers what it describes as a “category-creating” energy health supplement. The company took a smokeless tobacco pouch usually used for snus, emptied it of tobacco and filled it with vitamin powder. The new pouch, which is patent pending, is designed to compete with energy drinks, coffee and the like.

Pro-Dip displayThe company said the pouch is “the delivery system of the future” and is ready to be marketed for use by the general public. No water or mixing is needed with the hands-free pouch delivery system. Described as a hybrid product that crosses over both the energy and smokeless tobacco market, Pro-Dip is currently on convenience store shelves through non-exclusive supply agreements with Resnick Distributors and Mr. Checkout Distributors.

Pro-Dip also is exhibiting at J. Polep Distribution‘s Fall Buying show in Springfield, Massachusetts, Sept. 19 at the Mass Mutual Center. The company says it is looking to gain strategic distribution partners and licensees/private labelers.

Pro-Dip is based in the greater New York Metro area, where it is already on retail shelves. It currently is opening a second hub in San Jose, California. The product can be shipped anywhere in the world.

Pro-Dip’s history

According to the company’s website, in 2014, Peter St. Lawrence, inventor of Pro-Dip, recognized the growing negative health issues related to use of smokeless tobacco products at the collegiate sports level, particularly in football. As campuses ban smoking, a trend to smokeless tobacco use has taken hold. The Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates there are currently 9 million smokeless tobacco users in the United States alone.

“With a strong conviction to healthy living and an entrepreneurial drive to make a positive difference, Peter, with his father George St. Lawrence, decided to take action by teaming up with the innovative nutraceuticals manufacturer Acenzia Inc., in Windsor, Ontario. Driven by Peter’s vision to find a healthy alternative for dippers, the dynamic and dedicated team ended up creating a whole new category of health and wellness products,” the company says.

Pro-Dip allows people to take their supplements while they are performing or exercising and “helps dippers turn a negative habit into a positive one.” The energizing dietary supplements rest between the cheek and gum, delivering natural B vitamins, caffeine, beta-alanine, taurine and vitamin C “for hours of focused energy in a new hands-free, patent-pending oral delivery system.”
