As part of the #ThighsForTheWin campaign, Just Bare Chicken is hosting a celebration to honor St. Louis’ legacy of champions.
Just Bare Chicken will host the celebration during The Great Forest Park Balloon Race and Balloon Glow in St. Louis, Sept. 20-21. Festivities begin at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, and will feature music, fun activities and recipes for delicious chicken thighs.
“St. Louis knows how to celebrate their champions, but now it’s our turn to take the reins and recognize this city’s success during this cherished tradition in the heart of the city,” says Kelsie McEndaffer, PR and communications manager for Just Bare Chicken. “Our followers always have access to delicious recipes from Just Bare Chicken, but St. Louis will reap the ultimate benefit at this year’s Balloon Race and Glow with extra fun and goodies, on us.”
Over six weeks, Just Bare Chicken hosted the #ThighsForTheWin social media campaign to showcase how chicken thighs are a staple in every kitchen and on every grill. Followers on Facebook and Instagram could vote daily on recipe matchups and were entered to win fun prizes.
The heat turned up once followers were asked to vote on which city should be recognized as the Champion of Summer. Minneapolis, Omaha, Kansas City and St. Louis were all in the running to host, but the followers have spoken, and St. Louis came out on top.
“#ThighsForTheWin started as an initiative to bring awareness of how delicious, juicy and tender Just Bare chicken thighs are on the grill. As a result, during #ThighsForTheWin, we connected with our loyal fans to share tasty summer meal ideas focused on chicken thighs and packed with flavor,” McEndaffer says.
More than 2,000 entries were submitted during the #ThighsForTheWin campaign and many prizes were shipped.
