On Aug.22, Key Food Stores Co-Operative Inc., a chain of primarily independently owned and corporate grocery stores, celebrated the grand opening of its newest Food Fair location at 7139 W. Broward Boulevard in Plantation, Florida.
“As we continue to grow our family of supermarkets and expand our footprint in the Florida market, we are excited to be servicing new communities,” says VP of Business Development John Durante. “This Food Fair marks our 11th location in Florida, and we plan to open an additional 30 stores as well. We hope that by bringing our standards of quality and service to the Southeast, we’ll be providing both shoppers and independent retailers with the grocery experience they’ve been looking for.”
At 45,000-s.f., this new Food Fair has a variety of international products catering to the area’s multicultural community, as well as bulk-buying options for customers. Its produce department has a vast selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, including organic options. Customers can also enjoy the convenience of a full-service meat counter with a butcher on-site. Food Fair’s seafood department provides shoppers with both fresh and frozen items, and the store offers a deli, complete with hot and prepared food options. Plus, the bakery department features fresh desserts and custom-order cakes.
“We’re thrilled to be joining the Key Food family of supermarkets and serving the Plantation community,” says store owner Kent Tavera. “As we continue growing with Key Food, we plan to open additional locations in both Pembroke Pines and Miramar by the end of this year.”
