Ingles Markets has partnered with WNC-based relief nonprofit organization Hearts with Hands to provide support in their Hurricane Dorian relief efforts. Even as the storm’s impact and path remain uncertain, Ingles has already pledged support in the form of supplies and ice at the ready, helping Hearts with Hands respond where the need is greatest faster.
Asheville, North Carolina-based Ingles also partnered with iHeartRadio station WWNC to spearhead an On-Air Relief Drive on Tuesday, Sept. 3. Morning Show host Mark Starling will lead the radiothon in the shared effort between Ingles and iHeartRadio. Listeners will have the opportunity to donate at any WNC store with bins placed beginning Monday, Sept. 2nd. Non-perishable food items, cleaning supplies and monetary donations will be accepted.
“Where the need will be remains unclear but what is certain is there will be one and the ability to act quickly will help save lives and bring comfort to all those impacted” says Ron Freeman, Ingles CFO.
