American Dream, a mega-mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey, that is slated to open Oct. 25, will count Asian-American market and eatery concept H Mart among its tenants.
Offering guests an extensive selection of traditional Asian and international food items, H Mart at American Dream will span more than 35,000 s.f. This location will also include the chain’s ‘Market Eatery’ concept; a venue featuring national and international Asian food concepts and chefs, an on-site bakery and New Jersey’s first Let Them Talk Bar and Stage, featuring live music, craft cocktails, entertainment and weekly events.
“At American Dream, we look forward to offering guests an incredible, diverse culinary adventure,” said Don Ghermezian, president of American Dream. “We have expertly curated an exceptional blend of food offerings that allow guests to experience something interesting and different in each area of the property. H Mart’s reputation precedes itself, bringing a range of upscale Asian-American grocery items and multiple cuisines to American Dream.”
“We work hard to go beyond the expectations of our customers,” said Brian Kwon, president of H Mart. “American Dream is a world-class destination appealing to the local community and global travelers alike, and we look forward to serving and satisfying the needs of the millions of guests that visit.”
“H Mart and Market Eatery at American Dream will be New Jersey’s newest food lover’s destination,” said Stacey Kwon, president of H Mart. “We are creating a new template for the future of Asian food in America; a place to experience the best of what Asia has to offer, discover new flavors or have a taste of home. We have many exciting projects in the works and are thrilled to showcase them at American Dream.”
American Dream is approximately 3 million s.f. and projects 40 million visitors annually. The complex includes more than 450 shops, services and amenities as well as entertainment, food, art and culture.
H Mart was founded in 1982 with a single store in Woodside, Queens. It has grown to comprise more than 97 stores across the U.S. The stores offer a full line of Asian foods as well as a broad range of western groceries to complement its full scale offering to that of a traditional supermarket. H Mart also is known for its food halls, which are an extension of more than 30 years of providing eateries in its stores.
