Festival Foods’ newest location will open Oct. 11 at 660 Hometown Circle in Verona, Wisconsin. The 67,000-s.f. store will be Festival Foods’ 33rd location in the state.

In addition to a large natural foods department, the Verona Festival Foods will offer fresh sushi, a scratch bakery, extensive meat and seafood selections as well as dozens of salad, deli and hot food options. The store also will offer catering services. It will operate 24 hours a day and employ an estimated 250 associates.

Similar to many of the company’s newest stores, the Verona location will feature the latest energy-saving equipment as well as the Hometown Café, where area veterans and community members alike are invited to meet or share a meal.

The store also will offer a Tot Spot, which is Festival Foods’ supervised in-store child care service, as well as a brat stand available for nonprofit fundraisers.

Mark Skogen, president and CEO of Festival Foods, said the company is honored to join the Verona business community and added that the new store will exemplify Festival Foods’ continuing commitment to selection, value and service excellence.

“Most important to us is building relationships with our associates, our guests and our communities, so we are looking forward to getting started on building those relationships in Verona,” Skogen said. “We understand that grocery shoppers have many options, and our company strives to be the No. 1 choice for many reasons—the best shopping experience, excellent product quality and selection and exceptional value.”

Founded in 1946 as Skogen’s IGA, the company is a family- and employee-owned grocer that began operating as Festival Foods in 1990. It employs more than 7,500 full- and part-time associates.
