Between Rounds Bakery Sandwich Café, a fast-casual restaurant operator based in South Windsor, Connecticut, recently obtained a license to manufacture prepared foods and now plans to offer its signature bagels, breakfast and lunch sandwiches at convenience stores in Hartford County and beyond.
Currently, the company’s prepared breakfast and lunch sandwiches are available in the refrigerated section at the Gulf gas station/convenience store in East Hartford. Selections include signature bagels and cream cheese; sausage, ham, bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches; and turkey and cheese and ham and cheese sandwiches.
“By expanding into prepared foods manufacturing, Between Rounds is targeting a grab-and-go convenience market that extends well beyond our own stores,” said Jerry Puiia, co-founder.
Between Rounds also is a wholesale bagel supplier to many independent grocers in the region. It delivers its bagels to grocers fully baked, so no additional labor is required of the bakery department. Gas station and convenience store owners interested in Between Rounds’ wholesale products can reach Puiia at (860) 291-0323.
