The Superfresh location at 651 North Stiles Street, Linden, New Jersey, celebrated its opening with a ribbon cutting on May 17, and a weekend-long, grand-opening celebration will run from May 24-27.
Key Food Stores Co-Operative Inc. announced the grand opening of its newest store. Mayor Derek Armstead, 1st Ward Councilwoman Lisa Ormon, 2nd Ward Councilman Barry E. Javick and Key Food executives were in attendance. The celebration featured free vendor sampling, games and entertainment for the family.
“With over five stores in our family of supermarkets, store owner Howard Lee is one of our best operators,” says VP of Business Development John Durante. “Howard has worked hard to build a beautiful store that will cater to the Linden community.”
At 57,000 s.f., this new store will have a seafood department with both fresh and frozen options, as well as an on-site steamer to steam seafood to order. The produce department will give customers an array of organic options. Superfresh’s meat department will host an on-site butcher offering custom cuts to order. This new store will have a deli department with a full line of Boars Head products, as well as a hot food and salad bar. Throughout the store, customers will enjoy a variety of international products with a special selection of Eastern European items. In the future, this Superfresh will offer pharmacy and UPS services.
