Just in time to launch the summer grilling season Memorial Day Weekend, Fire & Flavor has introduced five new products.
The new products on Fire & Flavor’s sustainable charcoal and fire starter line include olive lump charcoal and olive briquets, almond lump charcoal and fire starters made of wood wool and biomass cubes.
“We are excited to introduce these new sustainable charcoals and fire starters in keeping with our commitment to creating grilling products that align with our ‘Better for You, Better for the Planet’ philosophy,” said Fire & Flavor Co-Founder Gena Knox.
Athens, Georgia-based Fire & Flavor’s new charcoals are sustainably made from post-harvest pruning of olive and almond orchards, which means no trees are cut down. Moreover, both are coal-free and contain no additives or accelerants. The company’s wood wool and biomass cube fire starters are produced from non-GMO vegetable wax and FSC certified wood, are petroleum-free and carbon-neutral, and are food-safe.
Available in eight-pound bags, Fire & Flavor’s premium olive wood and almond wood charcoals are characterized by their ability to burn clean and hot while exuding light smoke and low ash. Olive wood imparts a complex and aromatic flavor profile while almond wood adds subtly sweet and nutty flavor accents to grilled protein. Both charcoals, as well as both fire starters, can be used for both grills or smokers.
All Fire & Flavor products can be purchased at fireandflavor.com, Amazon, Lowe’s, Home Depot, Publix, Kroger, Central Market, Whole Foods and other retailers, with suggested retail prices ranging from $12.99 to $45.
Fire & Flavor is the first brand to bring Mediterranean flavor natural charcoals to America. Fire & Flavor launched in 2003 by the husband and wife team, Gena and Davis Knox. The company was first to market for sustainably certified charcoal and fire starters and has a rapidly growing following among consumers who purchase green grilling products.
