Renaissance Food Group has hired industry veteran Kim St George as VP of business development.
St George will work to develop a strategic plan to support existing business channels while focusing on new growth opportunities as they align with overall company goals and initiatives. Rancho Cordova, California-based Renaissance Food Group is a fresh food company that creates markets and distributes its products through retail and foodservice channels nationally. Renaissance Food Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of Calavo Growers Inc.
“The addition of Kim to the RFG family proves our commitment and dedication to our valued customers,” said James Naaman, SVP of national sales. “We look forward to the impact Kim will make as she works cross-functionally within the company to develop strategic partnerships that align with our production facilities nationwide.”
St George has more than 25 years of experience in the produce industry within the Salinas Valley. She received her bachelor of science in agricultural and managerial economics from the University of California Davis.
Her background in sales and marketing includes brand strategy, communication, customer engagement, product development, and packaging expertise in the value-added retail and club markets. Prior to RFG, St George served as director of sales and marketing at Mann Packing Co. Inc., where she worked directly with United States and Canadian customers to develop and manage the company’s value-added private brand and club portfolios.
St George also has held marketing roles at Taylor Farms Retail and River Ranch Fresh Foods. She currently serves as vice chair of United Fresh’s Produce Marketing and Merchandising Council and previously served on Fresh Produce and Floral Council’s Northern California Committee, multiple PMA committees and the UC Davis Cal Aggie Alumni Association Board of Directors.
St George’s role with RFG began on April 1. She reports to Naaman.
