Food City celebrated the grand re-opening of its newly remodeled Sierra Vista, Arizona, store with a community celebration Wednesday, April 17.
The newly remodeled Food City supermarket is located on South Highway 92.
The community celebration began at 6 a.m., when the first 300 shoppers who purchased groceries at the store received a free reusable bag filled with groceries and goodies. Throughout the day, participants had the opportunity to register to win prizes, including Food City gift cards and gift baskets. Shoppers were treated to food demonstrations and samples throughout the store.
Features of the newly remodeled store include expanded bakery, meat and produce departments, pharmacy, larger seating area at the restaurant-style deli, a service desk for check cashing, and an aguas frescas station, which serves a selection of fruit drinks.
The upgraded bakery serves bolillos, Mexican pastries, and signature cakes available in popular flavors such as piña colada, strawberry cream, cappuccino, chocolate delight, cookies and cream, and dulce de leche.
The expanded meat department Carnicería offers diverse cuts of meat, pork and chicken, free marinades, a full line of queso fresco and a seafood case.
The store’s restaurant-style deli offers an array of freshly-prepared meal options.
