Pic Select Fresh second-stage baby food has added four new flavors: pears, carrots, banana and mixed vegetables.
Pic Select Fesh is part of Lincolnshire, Illinois-based Goode Foods Inc. Pic Select Fresh offers foods with no sugar added and no artificial colors or flavors and emphasizes products that are high in fiber, high in protein and lower in sodium.
Second-stage baby food helps infants transition from mother’s milk to table food at about six months of age.
“Our natural single flavors are an appropriate transition food choice for infants during the transition to table food,” said Goode Foods Inc. President and Founder Emile Johnson. “We are excited to be able to increase the choices for families who are interested in improving healthy feeding for their new infants. This will ensure compliance and decrease the chance of flavor fatigue for the infant during this important developmental stage.”
Pic Select Fresh was launched in 2017 with seven original baby food flavors, including applesauce, apple pear banana, apple mango, apple berry blend, apple carrot mango, apple banana and apple sweet potato.
All flavors have been approved by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) as meeting the requirements for the Women Infants and Children (WIC) program.
