Responding to increasing consumer demand for environmentally-conscious products, Lightning Labels is offering eco-friendly packaging options to producers.
Denver, Colorado-based Lightning Labels offers three of the most popular labeling types on the market today: kraft labels, recycled vellum labels and BioStone labels.
Recycled kraft labels and stickers are produced from 100 percent post-consumer waste.
“Kraft labels have an earthy, organic look and feel, with a strong liner or label backing that’s ideal for machine application,” said Gary Paulin, director of sales and client services for Lightning Labels.
Paulin said kraft labels are popular among crafters and artisans, food packagers and craft brewers.
Recycled vellum labels and stickers also are made from 100 percent post-consumer waste and feature a white vellum printing surface. They have a strong liner for machine application. Recycled vellum is the label stock to use when a white background is needed for design reasons, either because of a product or company logo that needs to be more prominent, or a color scheme that works better with white.
BioStone labels and stickers are made from stone, so no trees were used in the manufacturing process. BioStone labels are water-resistant and offer a strong, durable material for printing. They work well for health and beauty products or food and beverage labeling.
Another ecological advantage to Lightning Labels: since the printing is all digital, there is no need for the plates used in conventional printing processes, leading to less environmental impact and shorter turnaround time.
Lightning Labels uses state-of-the-art printing technology to provide affordable, full-color custom labels and custom stickers of all shapes and sizes. Orders can be filled ranging from small requests by individuals to the bulk needs of big businesses.
Uses for Lightning Labels’ custom product labels and custom stickers include food packaging and organic food labels; wine and beverage labels; bath and body labels; nutraceutical products, such as vitamins, essentials oils and herbal remedies; event stickers; adhesive window stickers and more.
