Rutter’s has opened its largest convenience store, at 10,540 s.f., in Duncannon, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. The store is designed to serve c-store shoppers and truckers on a busy highway corridor north of Harrisburg.
This location provides 14 auto fueling stations, six dedicated high-speed truck diesel bays, 47 vehicle parking spots and 42 truck parking spots. This location will employ 50 team members and will operate 24 hours a day.
For auto vehicles, Rutter’s new store offers its standard fuels of regular, mid-grade and premium, along with auto diesel. Rutter’s also has its newly expanded fuel offerings, including unleaded 15, flex fuel, conventional (non-ethanol) and kerosene. For trucks and commercial vehicles, Rutter’s provides high-speed truck diesel in addition to the convenience of a CAT scale.
The Duncannon Rutter’s features the company’s largest restaurant. Its menu offers items such as 100 percent Angus beef burgers, chicken pot pie, pizza, ribs, turkey burgers, Red Bull smoothies, frozen lemonade and various handcrafted beverages. There is indoor and outdoor seating to accommodate 40 people, free WiFi and large restrooms.
The store also features a Rutter’s 29-degree cold beer cave with a vast selection of domestic, premium, craft and imported beer brands, along with local and national wines. Customers will also be able to purchase fresh and local grab-and-go items from local farms, including blueberries, watermelon and squash.
“The new store is located at the merge point for two major north south highways north of Harrisburg,” said Scott Hartman, president and CEO of Rutter’s. “We’ve designed this location as a comfortable, convenient rest stop for both truck drivers and local travelers alike.”
During the Duncannon ribbon-cutting ceremony, Rutter’s donated $3,000 to several community service groups.
