Weis Markets has launched a newly redesigned website and mobile app that company officials say is easier to navigate and offers customers a more value-added experience.
The website, weismarkets.com, and the upgraded Weis app contain a larger, easier-to-read weekly circular; thousands of new recipes; an improved MyWeis account section that makes it easier for customers to access their order information, shopping lists and Weis reward points; and e-coupons.
“We’ve worked hard to enhance our website and app to make them more useful to our customers on a daily basis,” said Brian Holt, Weis Markets’ VP of advertising and marketing. “The improvements we’ve made are designed to give our customers a better mobile experience, with easier navigation and an easier-to-read circular.”
In other company news, over the past three months, Weis Markets and its associates have raised $290,000 for more than 100 community hunger relief organizations in the communities it serves through its annual Fight Hunger program. This total includes $125,000 raised for the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank through the new Weis/Penn State Athletics Fight Hunger program, which was promoted during Penn State home football games this season.
The eight-week program was supported through an in-store promotional program supported by 12 vendors. An additional $165,000 was raised in-store for local emergency food providers during Hunger Action Month in September.
Weis Markets operates 204 stores in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Virginia and West Virginia.
