Graeter’s ice cream makes its own pastries, chocolates and ice cream from scratch for its chain of three-dozen stores in the Cincinnati area, and now believes its loyal following will translate to a successful Tampa Bay expansion.
The premium high milk-fat ice cream attracts a large mail-order business and Florida has been the top address for the Ohio export, a Tampa Bay Times report said. The product recently hit the shelves at Publix and will soon be available at Winn-Dixie.
The family-based chain has been around 142 years, and its newest flavor is its top-selling flavor: black raspberry chocolate, which the company has made for 25 years, according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
