Schnuck Markets Inc. is kicking off its annual United Way Round Up at the Register campaign, inviting customers to help the organization’s fundraising efforts. The campaign, which runs through Sept. 30, allows customers to round up their grocery purchases to the nearest dollar to donate to the United Way.
Customers using self-checkout can contribute by selecting a $1, $3 or $5 Scan and Give option. Additionally, members of the Schnucks Rewards program can donate their rewards points through the “Donate Your Rewards” program.
The company has a long history of supporting the United Way. In the previous year’s campaign, Schnucks teammates, customers and the company combined to donate nearly $2.25 million. This total included more than $135,000 raised through the Round Up at the Register campaign.
“Through our annual United Way campaign, our teammates and company are proud to nourish people’s lives and make a meaningful difference in the health, stability and future of the many communities we serve throughout the Midwest,” said Schnucks Chairman and CEO Todd Schnuck. “With our customers’ generous round ups, United Way is able to help those most in need and drive lasting, positive change across our region because we are all stronger together.”
One hundred percent of customer donations will go directly to local United Way chapters in the communities where the donations are made.
