Award-winning sportscaster Lindsay Czarniak, known for her work covering the NFL, NASCAR and the Olympics, will emcee the National Grocers Association’s annual Best Bagger Championship, sponsored by PepsiCo, at the 2024 NGA Show on March 11, at the Caesars Forum Convention Center in Las Vegas.
This is the 38th year that NGA will host the Best Bagger Championship, bringing together the best grocery baggers from across the country for a chance to compete for the grand prize of $10,000. Contestants are judged by speed of bagging, technique, weight distribution in the bag and style.
“Lindsay Czarniak brings the skill and experience of a sports broadcaster to the Best Bagger Championship that’s sure to bring a new level of excitement to the competition,” said Laura Strange, chief communications and engagement officer and SVP. “We expect Lindsay’s enthusiasm, coupled with the skills of baggers from all over the country, will make for a thrilling evening.”
Czarniak is a versatile broadcaster known for her work across the sports industry including FOX NFL and NASCAR, CBS’s Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) and NBC’s coverage of the Summer and Winter Olympic Games. Previously, she spent six years at ESPN anchoring SportsCenter and other programs.
Czarniak recently launched her new podcast “Lunch with Lindsay,” where she dives deep into the stories that connect us all through interviews with high profile guests, athletes, musicians and more. Her recent work also includes hosting partnerships with the Indy 500 and America’s Best Racing.
The Best Bagger Championship is a nationwide promotion for supermarket employees that highlights in friendly competition the important service skill of bagging groceries. Participants advance to the final event by winning regional competitions in their home states.
